Under Turkey's Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"), personal data collected through this website is processed by Legal252 as data controller, within the scope described below. Many of our clients are resident outside Turkey or are nationals of an EU/EEA or UK country; while KVKK is the governing law for data processed in connection with this Turkish website, we aim to handle personal data from EU/EEA and UK visitors in a manner consistent with the data subject rights recognised under the GDPR and UK GDPR, in addition to your KVKK rights below.

2. What Personal Data We Process

Through this website, the following categories of personal data may be processed:

• Identity data: full name (via the contact form)
• Contact data: email address, and phone number if you choose to provide it (via the contact form)
• Enquiry content: whatever you write in the contact form's message field
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, access date/time (automatically, via server logs)

• To carry out an initial assessment of a legal enquiry
• To keep this website secure and functioning correctly
• To meet legal obligations that apply to us

4. Legal Basis

Under KVKK Article 5, personal data submitted through the contact form is processed on the basis of your explicit consent; data collected through server security logs is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

Your personal data may be shared with our website hosting provider, and with independently licensed accountants (mali müşavir) where necessary to handle the tax element of your specific matter, and with public authorities where legally required to do so. Google Analytics is active on this site: for visitors who have given cookie consent, Google processes cookie-based, per-visitor technical/usage data as our data processor; for visitors who have not, Google receives only an anonymous, non-identifying aggregate visit signal, with no cookie set and no persistent identifier used — see our Cookie Policy for details. Beyond this, your data is not shared with third parties, sold, or used for marketing purposes.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

Contact form records and server access logs are retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, and in line with any minimum retention periods set by applicable law; they are deleted, destroyed or anonymised afterwards. Where a formal client relationship is established, file data is retained for the periods required under the rules governing our licensed legal partners' profession.

7. Your Rights (KVKK Article 11)

You may apply to us to: learn whether your personal data is being processed; request information about such processing; learn the purpose of processing and whether your data is used in line with that purpose; learn which third parties, in Turkey or abroad, your data has been transferred to; request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; request deletion or destruction of your data within the conditions set out in law; request that any correction or deletion be notified to third parties your data was transferred to; object to a result that is to your detriment arising solely from automated analysis of your data; and request compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing.

If you are contacting us from the EU/EEA or UK, you may also exercise the equivalent rights available to you under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. How to Exercise Your Rights

You can submit requests relating to the rights listed above through our contact form. Requests are handled within the timeframes and procedures set out under KVKK.
