About Us
Legal252 is a legal and business consultancy based in Fethiye, built specifically for the foreign residents, property owners and investors who make this region their home — permanently, seasonally, or from a distance. We exist because the legal side of living in, buying property in, or doing business in Turkey as a foreigner usually means dealing with several different professionals — a lawyer, a translator, a notary, an accountant — often in a language that isn't your own, at a pace that doesn't wait for you to catch up. We coordinate all of that from one place, in plain English.
Who We Are
Legal252 operates as a consultancy company working together with independently licensed attorneys: matters that require formal legal representation — court proceedings, notarised filings, anything the law reserves for a licensed avukat — are carried out by our licensed legal partners, while our team manages the coordination, communication and process oversight around them. This means you always have one point of contact, even when several professionals are working on your file behind the scenes.
Why Fethiye
Fethiye and the surrounding coast — Çalış, Hisarönü, Ovacık, Ölüdeniz, Kayaköy, Göcek — is home to one of the largest concentrations of long-term foreign residents in Turkey, drawn from the UK, Germany, Russia, the Netherlands and beyond. Many of our neighbours bought property here years ago and are now navigating title deed updates, inheritance planning or residence permit renewals; others are newer arrivals working out residency, company formation or a first property purchase for the first time, in a legal system that looks nothing like the one they left. Legal252 was built around that specific set of needs, rather than adapted from a general Turkish law practice as an afterthought.
Our Approach
We think of legal support for a foreign resident as more than a single transaction. A property purchase touches due diligence, title deed transfer, and often a related residence permit application; a family matter may involve two countries' inheritance rules at once. Rather than treating each of these as a separate, disconnected engagement, we look at the whole picture with you from the first conversation, explain what's actually involved before anything is signed, and stay the single point of contact as your matter moves between the different professionals it needs.
Our Values
Our working principles are straightforward: clear communication, strict confidentiality, careful follow-through, and a focus on outcomes you actually understand — not just outcomes we tell you happened. We explain legal processes in plain language, keep you informed at each stage of your matter, and make sure you know what a decision means before it's made, not after. We do not believe a client should ever feel like a bystander in their own legal matter.
Who We Work With
We work with individual foreign residents and property owners, as well as smaller foreign-owned businesses connected to the region — whether you already live here, split your time between countries, or are managing a Turkish property or matter entirely from abroad. If your situation involves Turkish law and a cross-border element — a foreign nationality, an overseas asset, a document that needs to work in two legal systems — that overlap is exactly where we focus. Our current practice areas are set out on the Practice Areas page.
Our Process
Every new matter starts with an initial conversation, where you describe your situation and what you're trying to achieve. From there, we set out a clear roadmap: what needs to happen, roughly in what order, and who — us, our legal partners, a notary, an accountant — is responsible for each part. As your matter progresses, we keep you updated on where things stand and what's coming next, so you're never left wondering. Your view and your priorities guide the decisions throughout; our role is to make sure you have the information to make them with confidence.
Confidentiality and Professional Ethics
Given the sensitivity of legal and financial matters, client information and documents are handled under strict confidentiality by our team, and matters handled by our licensed legal partners are additionally subject to the confidentiality obligations of the Turkish Attorneys' Act and professional ethics rules. We take that trust seriously in every interaction.
Why Legal252
Legal252 exists to close a specific gap: a genuinely accessible, English-first legal consultancy built around the real, recurring needs of Fethiye's international community — rather than a generic law-firm website with a translated homepage. If you're looking for a trustworthy, coordinated legal partner in Fethiye, we'd like to hear from you.
